Auditions for Filipino Opera of the Tanghalang Pilipino’s SAN ANDRES B

The auditions for the new original Filipino Opera of the Tanghalang Pilipino’s SAN ANDRES B, a production to celebrate the 150th birthday of Andres Bonifacio is set on July 26, 2013, Friday, 6-9pm and July 27, 2013 , Saturday, 1-5pm at the Bulwagang Amado V. Hernandez, Upper Basement, CCP Main Building.

Libretto by National Artist Virgilio Almario with Chino Toledo as composer and musical director, San Andres B is under the direction of Floy Quintos.

Applicants should have the following qualifications:

(1) must be 18 years old and above;

(2) have opera performance experience/s;

(3) should have musical training and background;

(4) must be able to sing two opera arias or art songs of the singer’s choice consisting of contrasting languages and styles (one of which must be from late Romantic, 20th Century or 21st Century period); and

(5) show artistic aptitude and theater discipline and decorum.

 

Please bring CD music or minus tracks. An accompanist or performing while playing any musical instrument is allowed.
