Rolling its way on court, the Toonami 3X3 Hoops Showdown is happening on Saturday, July 13, 11:00 a.m. onwards at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia.
Toonami, the Philippines’ most exciting superhero channel, is bringing together the country’s young basketball stars for the TOONAMI 3×3 HOOPS SHOWDOWN.
Toonami is the ultimate home of the hero, featuring many top-rated action series such as Young Justice, Dragon Ball Z, Max Steel, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Ben 10 Ultimate Alien Toonami is operated and distributed in Asia by Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, Inc., a Time Warner Company.
Students from 10 schools across the metro will be going head to head in four-member teams, competing across three age divisions.
“As the ultimate home of the superhero, Toonami is proud to give young basketball fans a chance to be heroes on the court, playing a sport that they love,” said Ben Adams, Regional Marketing Manager, Turner International Asia Pacific.
Also bringing their hoops prowess are basketball heroes Simon Atkins (DLSU), Nico Salva and Greg Slaughter (ADMU) who will be conducting an exclusive basketball clinic for the students of the Sisters of Mary Boystown & Miriam College Southeast Asian Institute for the Deaf (SAID). The clinic is also supported by TV host/athlete Rovilson Fernandez.
Cheer on your favorite heroes at Toonami 3×3 Hoops Showdown at SM Mall of Asia, from 11 a.m. onwards. Exclusive Toonami prizes will be given out throughout the day to lucky fans.

Aside from the Hoops Showdown, Toonami will also be conducting a special basketball clinic at 9:30 a.m., as part of its advocacy to encourage more youth and adults to participate in active play and sports, for the students from the Sisters of Mary Boystown and Miriam College Southeast Asian Institute for the Dead (SAID).
This special clinic will be supported and attended by today’s young basketball stars to share their knowledge and skills on the sport – Simon Atkins who played for De La Salle University Green Archers, and Nico Salva and Greg Slaughter from the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles.
